She has several years of experience working as a Bariatric Program Coordinator with Saint Francis as well as with Hartford Hospital. Nina has a Master in Public Health from UCONN and is a Certified Health and Wellness Coach. She has a passion for obesity prevention, with the goal of supporting people to reach their health goals, living the quality of life they envision.

Torie’s previous experience includes community education, supporting patients to manage their co-occurring mental and physical health diagnoses. Torie’s goals are to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and to continue to support patients in the healthcare and counseling fields.

Karen is a licensed practical nurse, who graduated from Eli Whitney Regional Vocational Technical School and is currently working as a Post-Acute Care Manager. Her nursing experience includes: long-term, rehabilitation, pediatrics, respiratory care, homecare and in inpatient healthcare settings. Her goals are to: 1) Work with her assigned skilled nursing facilities, doctors, patients and families to help the patient maintain adequate health to keep them from going back to the hospital.  2) To connect patients to community resources to help them reach and maintain their health goals.
