State Department on Aging – The Connections Project
The State Department on Aging operated a grant in the North Central region from the Administration on Aging entitled CONNECTIONS. The CONNECTIONS Project was designed to empower families living with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease by offering streamlined access to available services, as well as the introduction of Cognitive Training, a unique approach for individuals with the disease that is often effective in maintaining or improving memory and cognitive function, reducing depression and isolation, and restoring hope. Cognitive Training programs were established at three sites in the North Central region: Seabury, The Retreat, and the Alzheimer’s Resource Center. Please contact any of these facilities directly to obtain their schedule of programs in operation.
